Ecole's Day Student Course suspended until 2014 –

Mr Killar explains ...

Ecole's most senior students are the school's standard bearers throughout the world and we are extremely proud of their achievements. The intense training and guidance they receive does demand daily, detailed attention from Ecole faculty and guest teachers.

 In suspending the day student course Miss Allyn and I have taken a decision which will puzzle many people and I want to explain some of the reasons.

Three major factors are involved:

·       I have been offered the opportunity to carry out dance research for a PhD. This will entail some time overseas for the initial research next year.

·       Miss Wong  requested several months' leave for a well-deserved sabbatical at the start of 2011.

·       For some time we have wanted to redesign the course as a whole. This could not be done while it is actually operating.

It is a decision that we truly feel will be for the ultimate good of the whole school.

We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the trust that past and current day students have given to Jane, Crystal and me, and we all greatly look forward to welcoming a new generation of full time students in January 2014.
